IMDG Code

IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) Code is an international rule formulated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) regarding sea transportation of dangerous goods. It is the basic standard for international sea transportation of dangerous goods.

Rule Content: IMDG Code specifies requirements for classification, packaging, marking, labeling, placarding, transportation documents, stowage and segregation of dangerous goods. Aerosol products are usually classified as Class 2 dangerous goods (gases).

Scope of Application: All dangerous goods transported by sea, including aerosol products.

Compliance Requirements: Exported aerosol products must be packaged, marked and declared according to IMDG Code rules, ensuring sea transportation safety. Violating IMDG Code may result in cargo rejection, fines or even legal liability.
